I have Mac 10.7.5 and I can't get a newer OS and I need to know which version of Firefox I need to download. Their old directory of files is extremely hard to navigate and I don't know which one I need. Please help!
For an up-to-date browser for older Macs, try Chromium Legacy. You may need to use this direct link to download Chromium Updater; no other browser for OS X 10.7-10.8 is able to display GitHub correctly. When opened, Chromium Updater will appear as an icon on the right side of the menu bar. Click it, then select a stable version of Chromium Legacy to download. Once the new copy of Chromium Legacy is downloaded, drag it to the Applications folder. You can keep Chromium Updater and use it to update the installed copy of Chromium Legacy. To enable Google sync in Chromium Legacy, quit the browser, then enter the following command in Terminal (it is one long line):open -a /Applications/Chromium.app --args \"--oauth2-client-id=77185425430.apps.googleusercontent.com --oauth2-client-secret=OTJgUOQcT7lO7GsGZq2G4IlT\"Chromium Legacy will open; log into your Google account. You will not need to run the command again unless you log out.
A tarball of the Firefox source code is available for download. The latest development code can be obtained through Mercurial. Firefox-specific source is in mozilla-central's \"browser\", \"toolkit\", and \"chrome\" directories. Please follow the build instructions.
Firefox allows you to configure a \"download action\" to automatically open the downloaded file in Cn3D by checking the \"Do this automatically for files like this from now on\" box in the download dialog window. (See -US/kb/change-firefox-behavior-when-open-file for details.) To subsequently change this behavior in Firefox (or reconfigure it to open in Cn3D 4.3.1 instead of an earlier version), go to its File:Preferences panel, and select the Applications tab. In the Content Type column, click on the action corresponding to .cn3 files and select an alternative action from the pulldown menu.
